US Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield Carbine Made in 1880

A US Springfield Trapdoor Saddle-ring Carbine Model 1873, serial number 128545, manufactured in May of 1880, with the correct original sights. The carbine is well marked with the correct VP over eagle's head over P, as well as a block letter R. The breech is marked U.S. Model 1873. The stock appears to have been sanded, so there are no cartouches showing. Size:41 inches long overall with a 22 inch barrel. Condition:

The stock has been sanded The bore is very dirty, but the carbine retains good rifling. The metal retains large traces of blue, but there are a few spots of pitting by the breech and on the lockplate.
