Oscar Will Bugelspanner Air Rifle Air Rifle

A rather scarce German Oscar Will air rifle, called a bugelspanner, circa 1910. The only markings visible are the words "Original Will" on the barrel. The rifle is .25 caliber, has a wooden stock, with a handsome ix of blued and nickel plated parts. The lever that pumps the air tank is integral with the trigger guard and inset into the butt stock. The wrist of the butt is checkered. Despite being of small caliber, these rifles had a reputation for significant power and great accuracy. A handful of them were imported into the United States in the early 1900's. Size: 42 inches long overall, with a 20 1/2 inch barrel. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Provenance:Goetz collection Fair Oaks California.

Condition:

Good overall condition. The air tank definitely still holds pressure. The spring on the lever that holds it in place is weak. The nickel has worn, and there is a cylindrical area on the breech that has rusted. The wood is very good.
