Two (2) Double-Cased Sixth Plate & Ninth Plate Daguerreotypes
Two double cased sets of daguerreotypes, cases with two images each, one sixth plate, and one ninth plate. The sixth plate set is of an older couple, the man in formal attire and the woman wearing spectacles and having her elbow on a huge book. They are in a fine and intact leather case. The second set is two images in a ninth plate case, of a young couple, a handsome young man with a chin beard, and his very pretty young wife, the two images in leather case with a split hinge.
Dimensions: The sixth plate is 3 5/8 tall by 3 1/8 inches wide. The ninth plate is 2 ½ inches tall by 2 inches wide
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition:All four images are exceptionally clear and sharp. The sixth plate case is about excellent, while the ninth plate case is very good plus, but with a separated hinge. Please see photos.
