Four (4) Daguerreotypes of Young Men
Three cased sixth plate daguerreotypes of young men, and one cased ninth plate daguerreotype of a young man. One sixth plate of great clarity shows a young man with a raised eyebrow in a brightly colored vertically striped vest. Another sixth plate is identified in red Sharpie written on the glass as David Bell Davis. The third sixth plate is a young man with a chin beard and colored cheeks. The ninth plate is of a young bearded man in coat and very wide tie. All four images are in leather cases, three having split hinges.
Dimensions: The three sixth plate images are 3 5/8 tall by 3 1/8 inches wide. The ninth plate image is 2 ½ by 2 inches
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition:The first image is excellent, as is the third image. The second image has minor spotting, and the fourth image has some minor areas of cloudiness on the plate. The cases are all worn, and three have split hinges. Please see photos.
