Three Folding Bowie Knives in Sheaths, 1 U.S.

A very fine folding bowie knife with fossilized wood grips by Parker & Son, Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a spread-winged American eagle etched on the blade with "Year of the Eagle1782-1982" below the eagle. The ricasso is stamped with the maker's name and on the other side, K41B. The knife has a folding guard and a folding blade guard, and is in a Buck rough leather belt sheath. Size: open, 9 inches, closed 5 inches. Very long folding bowie knife with stag grips, brass mounts and a powerful release spring lever, in a nicely fitted plain black sheath. The blade is stamped Japan on the ricasso. Size: open, 12 1/4 inches, closed, 8 1/2 inches. A very handsome folding bowie knife with a double latch system: to open the blade you press and oval button on the grip, but to close the blade you press a raised button on the tang in the grips. The grips are polished wood. The blade is unmarked, but strongly resembles German made examples. The knife has a folding German silver guard, and the entire back of the blade and tang are sculpturally textured. The knife is in a mismatched black leather sheath. Size: open, 12 1/8 inches, closed, 8 5/8 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
