A Sikyatki revival style pot by Rayvin Nampeyo (b. 1961). The pot is a wide shouldered jar with a short neck and is decorated around with symbolic motifs that are distinct hallmarks of Nampeyo work. Signed on the underside, "Rayvin Nampeyo" around a drawing of corn.
Rayvin Nampeyo is a noted Hopi-Tewa potter, great-grandson to Nampeyo of Hano, and grandson of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo. He honors his family tradition by practicing Sikyatki revival pottery, incorporating designs made famous by his great grandmother and have since become symbols of the family's artistic heritage.
