Pair English Engravings by Birchall of la Lattre illustrations in oval gilt frames Circa 1785

A pair of illustrations by la Lattre, by the English engraver William Birchall, circa 1785. They are period framed in oval gilt frames. The illustrations depict two young men and two young ladies first noticing one another, and then courting. They are printed in sepia, and a label on the reverse describes them as "stipple engraving." Size: The two prints are identically framed: 10 1/2 by 8 3/4 by 1 inch. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

Very good plus condition with very minor coloring to the mattes. The frames appear original to the period with wooden backs.
