Signed ‘J SAHME NAMPEYO’ to base. Hand-coiled and traditionally fired Hopi-Tewa pottery jar, signed on the base by Jean Sahme Nampeyo (born 1948). The piece features bold geometric and stylized design elements rendered in red and buff on a black background, showcasing fine linear work and step motifs consistent with classic Hopi-Tewa patterns. The form has a wide shoulder with a flattened body tapering to a short neck and wide mouth, characteristic of traditional Sikyatki revival shapes.
