German Bavarian 21st Royal Infantry Regiment Stein w/ Portraits of Kaiser & King, Original

Extremely fine and original German stein to Infantryman Karl Sparer of the 6th Company of the Bavarian 21st Konigliche (Royal) Bavarian Infantry Regiment of Sulzbach, with service from 1908 - 1910. This is a particularly fine and highly decorated stein, and it also commemorates the "Kaisermanover" of 1909, so there are conjoined portraits of the King of Bavaria and Kaiser Wilhelm II on the front, with lots of handsome hand - painted details. The decoration includes the scenes of the Regiment at rest and in action. The handle is smooth on the inside, and is topped with a pewter crowned lion and shield. The pewter lid is topped with an infantryman leaning on a pillar, holding his rifle. There is a lithopane which seems to show an infantryman greeting his wife. There is gold hand - painted trim around the base of the stein. The pewter lid has a slight patina on the outside, and is bright on the inside. Size: 12 1/4 inches tall. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $40.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
