Four (4) Sixth Plate Daguerreotypes

Four sixth plate daguerreotypes, two clearly from the 1840s, all in leather cases, three half cases and one full case. The lady is probably in mourning, with a painted ring on her middle finger. The man in the full case is wearing a brightly vertically striped vest.

Dimensions: Sixth plate images, 3 5/8 tall by 3 1/8 inches wide

Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition:The lady’s image is very good plus. Two of the men’s images are very good with minor fading. The image of the other man is excellent. The cases all show wear, the complete case being slightly better. Please see photos.
