Colt Model 1877 Lightning Revolver Storekeeper's Model

An interesting Colt Model 1877 Storekeeper's Model Lightning revolver in .38 caliber,serial numbered 61582, manufactured in 1887, with original factory nickel plating. The barrel is 2.1/2 inches long. The hammer spur has been filed off, so it is only intended for double action, although the hammer does hold on single action. Condition:

The pistol retains most of the original nickel plating on the frame and cylinder, but the plating on the barrel is worn. The hammer spur has been removed. The action is tight and crisp. The bore is dirty but good. The loading gate appears to be original to the gun, but the serial number does not match.
