3 Interesting Asian Small Bronze Items Including 2 Cranes

Two slightly different statues of cranes standing on the backs of turtles, each with something in the cranes' beaks. One of the statues is very fine bronze in three pieces one being the turtle with the crane's feet cast into it, the second part being the crane, with legs that fit into the feet on the turtle's back, and the third being a piece resembling a symbol of Vishnu that attaches to a socket on the crane's beak. This is finely made with excellent patina and engraved details. It stands 12 inches tall. The second crane has a lighter colored finish, but is similarly made. The socket on the crane's beak is empty, probably to hold s stick of incense. It is 8 1/2 inches tall. This is a symbol found through much of Asia, and has important meaning in feng shui. It means a long and healthy life. The third item is a bronze incense burner in the form of a closed flower, withe the incense issuing from gaps between the petals of the flower, and parts of other flowers. It stands on three short lags. Size: 5 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide.

Condition:

The first crane with the bronze patinated finish is excellent. The second is very good, with a less consistent finish. The incense burner is very good, with an uneven finish, showing traces of old brass polish and minor corrosion.
