Wostenholm IXL Spear Point Bowie Knife & Sheath.

An extremely fine spear point bowie knife by G. Wolstenholm, Washington Works, Sheffield. The letters IXL are on the ricasso. The knife has especially fine stag grips with German silver mounts, including a lozenge shaped escutcheon on the grips. The cross guard has scalloped edges. The knife is in a fine brown leather sheath with belt loop. Size: 12 ΒΌ inches long overall, with a 7 15/16 inch blade. Shipping: $35.00.

Condition: Very good. The hilt is excellent. The blade I very good other than two patches of pitting, looking almost like flaws in the blade, one near the point, the other 3 inches from the point. The sheath is excellent. The blade has been sharpened.
