Waln's Lafayette Leather Bound 1827 Life of the Marquis de Lafayette

Published to coincide with the visit of the Marquis de Lafayette's to America to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Independence, a leather bound copy of "Waln's Lafayette," the Life of the Marquis de Lafayette, written by Robert Waln, Jr., and published in Philadelphia by J.P. Ayres in 1827, the fourth edition. The book has a fine front plate of the Marquis, with four facsimile signatures around it. The book is 4507 pages long, The leather binding has some gold embossing. Size: 8 5/8 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches thick. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
