US Spencer Carbine Model 1865 w/ Stabler Cut-Off

Indian Wars period Spencer Carbine with Stabler cut-off, apparently in .52 caliber. The serial number is 21118, which is an early serial number on an 1865. Most of the markings on the receiver are obscured, but the cartouche is clearly visible on the stock. The butt has a sling swivel as well as the saddle ring on the side. The breech block is marked with a "V," and the action is smooth and tight. Size: 39 inches long overall, with a 20 1/2 inch barrel. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition:

The metal is lightly rusted overall, with areas of pitting on the sides of the receiver. The bore is dirty. The magazine tube is frozen in place. The action is excellent, and the wood is very good, with clear cartouche and a good finish. The manufacturer's markings are barely visible on top of the receiver.
