Two photos of General Anthony McAuliffe in Bastogne, taken during the German siege

An 8x10 inch photo of General Anthony McAuliffe in his armored jeep with the word “Bastogne” painted across the windshield. The jeep has been “up-armored” with added bullet-proof doors, and a steel stake welded to the front bumper to protect the occupants from piano wire that the Germans strung across roads. A 6 by 8 ½ inch photo of General McAuliffe in the snow during the siege of Bastogne with another officer and a number of G.I.s. This was probably taken on Christmas Eve. Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe. Shipping within the continental U.S.: $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Both photos are excellent. The photo with the armored jeep has four pieces of tape on the reverse.
