Two Gem Photo Albums a Case, a Matte, Other Photos & Silhouette

A very fine small gem tintype album of embossed and gilded leather, with “ALBUM” on the spine, containing 24 gem sized tintypes, mostly of younger adults and some children. The album has a number of empty spots, but seems to be as it was originally. The images are all excellent, and the album is in excellent condition. It measures 3 ¼ by 1 ¼ by 7/8 inches. A particularly handsome green leather bound gem photo album with “ALBUM” on the spine. Some of the photos are identified as members of the Caldwell family. There are 16 gem sized tintype in the album, all excellent. The album is also excellent, with minor scuffs on the outside, and a large cross embossed on the cover. It measures 3 ¼ by 3 3/8 by ¾ inches. A large leather bound case for two half plate images, complete with mattes and glass in very good condition, but missing one clasp. 4 ¾ by 5 7/8 inches. Two gold colored metal mattes for images, one quarter plate with glass, the other 6th plate. Both in very good condition. Two tintypes of children, one scratched, the other excellent, both without mattes or cases. The scratched image is 2 3/8 by 3 1/8 inches, the other is 2 3/8 by 3 5/8 inches. A tintype matte and glass containing a paper silhouette of a woman in early 19th century dress. Very good condition, 2 5/8 by 3 1/8 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
