Three Painted Lacquered Wooden Boxes

Three small wooden boxes, lacquered, with fine small paintings on their lids: two are of ladies, one of a lady in Renaissance dress, identified as Adeline Patti, an Italian Opera singer; the other is of a young woman in 18th century dress. The third box is larger, and has a scene of people in Renaissance clothing at a seaport. The box with the portrait of the opera singer has a slightly fancier finish than the other two with an inlaid bottom, although the paintings on all three are extremely nice. Sizes: The box with the opera singer is round, 2 3/4 inches across and 1/2 inch tall. The second box with a lady is rectangular, 3 1/2 by 2 1/4 by 3/4 inches. The port scene box is round, 3 1/4 by 3/4 inches. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

The boxes are all very good to excellent. The box with the portrait of the opera singer is especially nice. The box with the port scene has signs of use, but is at least very good.
