Spanish-American War Five U.S. Artillery & Gatling Gun Photos

A large matted albumen print photo of a camp scene with a soldier sitting on a sand bag wall next to a 3.2 inch filed gun. It appears to be in the field in the Philippines. A large matted albumen print photo of an Artillery officer on horseback, with an 1840 artillery saber at his side. He is identified on the reverse as “Alexander Ryan, Artillery 1898.” A large matted albumen print of three soldiers in a field emplacement with both a 3.2 inch field gun, and a 1.3 inch Hotchkiss Mountain gun. On the reverse is written, “Frank A. Mertz Co. J. 1st Colo. U.S.V. Utah Bat.” The men are wearing slouch hats and web belts with Krag bayonets. A large matted photo of a Gatling gun and its caisson being served by nine men, next to a fortification. The image has a bad crease. A large matted albumen print of a group of artillery NCO’s in an emplacement with a very large Rodman gun on an iron carriage in a concrete mount. The men are wearing the 5-button coat and the 1895 pattern hat. Dimensions: The largest image is 9 by 10.75 inches. The smallest is 8.5 by 7.5 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

The last photo is faded but still clear, and has a corner of its matte missing. One image has a bad crease, possibly even a break down one side.
