Silver Tray in 800 Silver by Otto Schneider, Berlin

A large oval heavy silver tray with a scalloped design in the center and on the outer rim. It is marked 800 silver, by Otto Schneider. Otto Schneider was a Berlin silversmith whose business operated from 1875 to 1946. This piece probably dates from about 1910, as it has a crown mark stamped next to the silver mark. Weight: 3.165 pounds/ 46.156 ounces troy. Size: 20 x 14-1/4". Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney.
