Rachel "Koo Loo" Sahmie Nampeyo (1956-2022) Sikyatki Revival Style Pot

A Sikyatki Revival style pot by Rachel "Koo Loo" Sahmie Nampeyo (1956-2022). The pot has a round body narrowing into a short neck with a slightly flared, decorated in symbolic motifs of red and black pigments. The bottom was not shaped flat, so it lays towards its side. It is signed by Rachel "Koo Loo" Nampeyoa, a Hopi-Tewa potter and daughter of noted potter Priscilla Nampeyo known for Sikyatki revival shapes and designs brought back into popularity by her great grandmother, Nampeyo of Hano.

Dimensions: approx. 7-inches tall with a 6-inch diameter at its widest point
