Percussion Single Shot Pistol

A handsome percussion single shot box-lock pistol in .44 caliber with engraved frame, round barrel, plain sack butt. The barrel is a screw barrel, with slots for a wrench in the bore.The letters "SF" are stamped on the underside of the frame. Size: 7 1/2 inches long with a 2 3/4 inch barrel. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S $35 plus a 1.5% replacement cost insurance fee. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Provenance:Goetz collection Fair Oaks California. Purchased on 5/1/56

Condition:

The metal is dark overall, with some minor pitting on the frame and barrel. The wood does not fit perfectly, and it is possible that the butt is a replacement. The action needs cleaning, as it hangs on half-cock.
