Pair of Chinese Mahogany Statues of Li T'ieh Quai
Two very fine mahogany carved sculptures of Li T'ieh Quai, one of the Eight Immortals, both leaning on carved iron crutches, each with a chicken pecking at his feet. They are very thin looking with visible ribs. They carry sleeping mats on their backs. and each has a large leaf on his back as well. They also have raised extensions that are drilled so they can be fitted as lamps. Size: one is 18 3/4 inches, the other 19 inches. Their bases are 7 inches across each.
