A miniature portrait in watercolor of a Major of Austrian Infantry Regiment No. 75, circa 1870. He is in the traditional Austrian white dress uniform, and wears the Military Service Cross for Officers on his chest. He has sideburns and a mustache. The painting is well-executed with excellent detail on his uniform and his award. It is in a small gilt painted wooden frame. There is a label on the reverse with some details about the painting, as well as a small label on the frame from a previous sale of the item.
Size: 5 by 4 3/4 inches.
Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
