General Anthony McAuliffe Sterling Silver Money Clip Presented to him by American Legion Post 34, Lancaster, PA.

A beautiful and heavy sterling silver money clip made from a 1924 US silver dollar with an extensive inscription on the reverse, from American Legion Post 34, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There is also a small enameled American Legion badge on the front. The clip portion is shaped like a money sign ($) and is engraved, “PRESENTED TO GENERAL ANTHONY C. McAULIFFE, U.S.A. WHOSE COURAGE IN A BRAVE HOUR AT BASTOGNE PLACED HIM WITH THE MEN WHO HAVE MADE AMERICAN HISTORY. AMERICAN LEGION POST 34, LANCASTER PA. 1945 1950” The clip portion is marked Sterling by Jennings. Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe. Dimensions: 2 ½ inches tall.  Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
