General Anthony McAuliffe Invitations to the White House & White House Christmas Card

Two printed invitations to the White House to General and Mrs. Anthony McAuliffe from Mrs. Roosevelt, one for an “at home” with Mrs. Roosevelt on Tuesday, May 13th, 1940, the other for a Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., on February 5th, 1940, addressed to “Captain and Mrs. McAuliffe.” There is also an RSVP card. Also a White House Christmas Card from Don Lowry, apparently Mrs. Roosevelt’s social secretary. Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe. Processing and Shipping in the Continental United States is $35.00.plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

The invitation cards and RSVP card are excellent. The Christmas card is slightly faded, and the very back page is torn.
