Early Police & Fire Department Photos & Wanted Cards

An assorted lot of early photos of police and other law enforcement along with six original "Wanted" cards, all dated between 1890 and 1924: Framed photo of an early lawman, wearing a frock coat and bowler, with his shield pinned on his chest, leaning against a counter behind which stand two men, ca. 1900. The photo is in an old, inexpensive wooden frame with glass (7 by 9 inches). A wood framed under glass cabinet card photo of three lawmen, each wearing six-pointed star law badges with nearly readable engraving. One of the officers is holding a billy club, another a pair of hand cuffs. The frame is nicely carved, probably oak (8.75 by 6.25-inches). Albumen print photo identified as being of James A. Lewis, Deputy Sheriff of Pocatello, Idaho, in 1910. The photo shows a man with a badge, presumably Lewis, seated in an office with three other men (7 by 9 inches). Photo of an early engine company standing in front of three early fire trucks, all in uniform, identified as Los Angeles Fire Department, circa 1920 (8 by 9.25-inches). Snapshot sized photo of six firemen, a civilian, and a young boy standing in the door of a fire station, around 1920 (3.25 by 5.25-inches). Six postcard sized "Wanted" posters or cards, all addressed to the Chief of Police of San Francisco, each with a photo of the wanted man, along with his name, description, and what he was wanted for, along with reward information, dated between 1908 and 1922. (5 are 3.25 by 5.5-inches, and one is 3 by 5-inches). Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Fairly Great. The larger fire department photo has some edge damage and the smaller has corner residue. One of the Wanted cards has some minor damage at the bottom edge, too. Please see photos.
