Clabrough for Samuel Buckley Double-Barreled Damascus Hammerless Shotgun.

A high grade Samuel Buckley 12 gauge double-barreled hammerless shotgun made for Buckley by J.P. Clabrough between 1882-1885. The gun is of very high grade, with extensive engraving on the receiver, trigger guard, and action. The tang safety has gold filling to the word “Safe.” The rib between the barrels is engraved, “Samuel Buckley & Co. Birmingham Fine Damascus.” The gun has an exceptionally fine stock, with a steel butt plate, and fine checkering on the wrist and forend, as well as a horn forend cap and ebony cap to the pistol grip. The gun has no serial number, and is illustrated and discussed in Mr. Shelton’s book on Clabrough. Size: 44 ½ inches long overall with 28 inch barrels. Shipping: $70.00.

Condition: Excellent overall condition. The barrels have been blued over their Damascus finish. The action is crisp and tight, and metal and wood are excellent, with beautiful bores.
