Ancient Lamp Presented to General McNarney

A presentation to General McNarney by the United Jewish Appeal for his aid to Jewish refugees and other "victims of Nazi tyranny." The award is an ancient clay oil lamp "from the Land of the Bible," mounted on a mirror atop a wooden plinth, and covered by a glass dome, with a plate with an extensive inscription, including,"To General Joseph T. McNarney Former Commanding General U.S. Forces in Europe who has kept the Lamp of Freedom burning." Size: 8 by 8 by 8 inches. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
