2 German Steins w/ Romantic Scenes, Barmaids, Pewter Lids

Two very fine pewter lid steins, one almost certainly Mettlach, both with scenes of young women, one in a family group, the other in a wreath, carrying many beer steins. The family group stein shows a hunter with two women, probably his wife and daughter. The bottom has the number 137 fired into it. It has an ornate handle topped with a pewter hinge with an ornate finial, and a handsome lid with a tall rounded finial on it. Size: 10 1/2 inches tall. The second stein has a charming barmaid who is dancing on top of a beer barrel, while holding a great many steins of beer. The stein has a lithopane of an older huntsman, and the bottom is marked Made in Germany, with a number fired into it. The handle is topped with an ornate finial on the hinge, connected to a nice pewter lid topped with an acorn. Size: 9 1/2 inches tall.
