Western Cutlery W49 "High Angle Hell" Airborne Bowie Knife & Sheath

Western Cutlery W49 Bowie Knife & Sheath, with Airborne Jump Wings engraved on the blade, and "High Angle Hell" below the wings. This may be from the 173rd Airborne Mortar Teams who adopted that motto, although other units did, too. The Airborne Wings make it more likely from the 173rd, though, as they were particularly known for this from the Vietnam War and later, including Afghanistan. The knife has an extremely nice polished wood grip, and is in a tan leather sheath by Harold J. Ryan Leatherworks.. The blade is razor sharp, and is stamped Western U.S,A. W49 over J. . Size: 14 5/8 inches long with a 9 3/8 inch blade. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition:

Very good plus overall, with an excellent sheath that is newer than the knife.
