US Springfield Model 1812 Musket, Coverted to Percussion

An interesting percussion conversion Springfield Model 1795 musket, along with a relic percussion shotgun. The musket gas had a very simple conversion to percussion, with a drum bolster welded onto the barrel at the touchhole. The hammer is unconverted, and should have a small block inserted between the jaws to fire the percussion cap, buy that is not present. The lockplate has a clearly visible eagle, and the tail of the plate has the number "7," part of the date of the date stamp, either 1797 or 1807. The breech is stamped with "US" over an oval with an eagle's head and the letters CT, possibly for Connecticut, over V. The barrel has been shortened, with the front band missing, and the middle band replaced with brass or copper. The lower band is intact. There is a cartouche partially visible behind the sideplate. The ramrod is missing. Size: 49 inches long overall, with a 34 inch barrel in .69 caliber. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S $65.00 plus a 1.5% replacement cost insurance fee. Condition:

The musket's metal is dark overall, and some of the markings are unclear. The stock is cracked from the sideplate to the wrist. The barrel and forend have been shortened. The action has been converted to percussion. The lock functions extremely well.
