US 1840 Musician’s Sword with Etched Blade
Condition:
The hilt is slightly bent, with the D-guard bent in a little, and the knuckle bow pushed towards the pommel. The quillon is also slightly bent. The blade is overall grey, and although it is etched, it is difficult to make out the details, including what may be the maker’s name. The scabbard is intact, but has a slightly crude repair in the middle. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
