Two Asian Satues: Japanese Guanlu, and Chinese Shoulao

Two fairly scarce statues, one a Japanese statue of Guanyu, a god of war in the Taoist pantheon, this one of ceramic, with glaring eyes and a sword in his hand. He is wearing a red kimono painted with interesting wheel-like symbols, and is on a round wooden base. The second statue is Chinese ceramic, and is Shoulao, a god of longevity. He is depicted holding a peach, leaning on a staff. Size: Guanyu is 16 3/4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. Shulao is 13 3/4 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide.

Condition:

About excellent overall condition, with minor scuffs and marks on their bases. Guanyu's paint is slightly faded in areas..
