Two 18th Century Books on Cooking and Navigation

Description: James Atkinson’s Epitome on Navigation, published in 1718, has a complete text block with all of its original fold out charts. It also has an old, potentially original owner’s signature on the title page of “John Savage.” Henderson’s ‘Housekeeper’s instruction or universal family cookbook’ is a 1795 fifth edition, printed and sold by WJ Stratford w/ complete text block. Some partially torn pages.

Processing and shipping: Within the Continental US $30 plus a 1.5% replacement cost insurance fee. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition:Both Books are in Poor Condition. Fair at best. The navigation book’s leather covers are completely separated at the hinges and are connected just by the binding strings. Heavy ware to the Housekeeper’s Instructor book’s boards. Both have blue penned writing on their free endpapers.
