Three Small Framed Paintings, an Odalisque, a Child, and a Rose.
Three small framed paintings: A lovely small painting of an odalisque reading a book, lying down in a woodland setting, with a green cloak over her back. It is in a rectangular wooden and gilt frame, under glass, and may be a very fine print. A small oil painting of two children fresh from their bath, standing in front of a fireplace warming themselves. It is in an ornate gilded wooden frame. On the reverse is a label in French reading "Apres le bain." A very fine oil painting of a pink rose, on board, signed by Zaven Melik, S.N. The painting is round in a square wooden frame. Zaven Melik was a New York artist in the 1930s.
Sizes: The Odalisque painting is 5 3/8 by 7 3/4 inches. The painting of the children is 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches. The painting of the rose is 9 inches square.
Condition:
Excellent. There is a horizontal crack in the frame of the rose painting.
