Three (3) Period Combat Knives
Three combat knives each with features:
A combat knife that seems based on a 1903 Springfield bayonet, at least in style, but with a spear-point double edged blade, and a wooden grip held together with screws and painted black. The blade may have been made from a file, as there are faint cross-hatchings in places. The guard is steel, rounded rectangular. It is in a simple leather sheath with steel rivets. The grip and the throat of the sheath have the letters MSA stamped into them. (12.25-inches overall with a 7.75-inch blade).
A Case XX short machete, appearing to have been made from an Army Air Corps folding machete, but without the ability to fold. The grip is made of mahogany with three rivets. The blade is blued, marked very clearly CASE XX, and has its original blade guard. There is no sheath (15.5-inches long overall with 10.5-inch blade).
A hand made fighting knife with double edged spear point blade serrated down one side. The knife has a steel guard, and a block y wooden grip with two screws but missing a third screw. It is in a mismatched leather sheath (12.75-inches overall with a 7.5-inch blade).
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition:
Fairly Great. The first knife has signs of use. The third knife is cruse and in good condition, with a mismatched sheath. Please see photos.
