Three (3) Civil War Photographs
Three Civil War era photographs, including:
A Civil War tintype/ferrotype sixth plate image of a Union officer seated next to his wife. He is wearing an oilskin cover on his forage cap, a custom made sack coat, sash, sword belt and 1850 foot officer's sword, with his 1851 officer's belt plate clearly displayed. His wife is wearing a bonnet with checked ribbons, and a dress with both stripes and large dots on it. Her wedding ring is displayed. No case or matte (4 by 3.25-inches).
Sixth late tintype of a Union infantryman with musket and bayonet. He is wearing a frock coat, a forage cap, and knee boots. He has a square belt plate on that might be from a specific state. No case or matte (3 by 2.5-inches).
Identified CDV photo of a distinguished Civil War officer, Peter Tyler Swaine, a West Point Graduate who served in the 15th US Infantry at the beginning of the Civil War, then the 99th Ohio, and finally the 16th US Infantry, rising to the rank of Colonel, breveted twice for bravery. He continued serving in the 16th Infantry until 1895, and died in 1904. Accompanied by newspaper clippings, with details in pencil on the reverse of the CDV which is by Hoag & Quick of Cincinnati (4 by 2.5-inches).

Condition:
Great. The tintypes have minor marks around the edges where they may have been in mattes or frames. Please see photos.
