Smith & Wesson Second Model Single Action American Model 3 Revolver

A very fine Smith & Wesson Model 3 single action revolver in .44 caliber, serial number 6649. The gun has a miss-matched cylinder. No. 117, but is otherwise in remarkable condition with matching numbered grips, and a lot of original blue finish. This is the Second Model of the Number 3, with a notched hammer to fit the latch. Size: 14 inches long overall with an 8 inch barrel. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping..

Condition:

Very good plus condition, with the gun retaining a large amount of original blue on the frame. The cylinder is gray, with blue remaining in the flutes. The left grip has a crack in it, and both grips show wear. The bore is very good plus, with worn rifling. There re minor scratches on the left side at the hinge, where it looks as if someone slipped with a screw driver. The gun is tight and crisp.
