Studied at the Kansas City Art Institute under Thomas Hart Benton from 1936-1941. Her work can be found in collections at the Smithsonian and other American museums. ‘Sketches By Janet Turner’ (1914-1988) Original Artist’s Sketchbook. Artist signed in pen on second page. Pen and Ink Studies of male and female nudes, dragonflies, moths, birds, and scenes of a cattle auction arena. Cattle auction arena sketches includes sketches of cattle, pigs, and the people in chairs bidding at the auction. Three of the nude sketches have been inked. 64 pages with original sketches. Also included is an original Christmas card from Janet Turner and a book on her works.
