Rare Admiral Peary North Pole Expedition Globe Shaped Beer Stein

A very rare and interesting Beer Stein in the shape of a world globe, with a small figure of American Admiral Peary standing on the North Pole with an American flag.. He is wearing an anorak, and smiling. The globe and the figure are very well modeled. The lid has a pewter rim and opener. The handle is painted to look like wood. The base is marked Germany and 2368A. It was clearly made for an American market as the names of the continents are all in English. Admiral Peary and his companion Matthew Henson were the first men known to have reached the North Pole on April 6, 1909. Size: 8 inches tall and 7 inches wide at the handle.
