Pioneer Medical Bag of C.S. Ingersoll Montana and California

Pioneer Medical Bag of C.S. Ingersoll, Montana and California.

Group consists of: the leather medical bag, separate medical Pouch, Montana territory map By W.W. De Lacy, and photographs of the doctor and his family. Both the bag and the pouch are full of glass vials full of various substances thought to treat ailments at the time. There are several handwritten lists of ingredients inside the bag one of which is dated to 1882. The bag was likely used before this however, that's the only firm date I found. This is a very interesting piece of medical history. It would make a fantastic display in that sort of collection as well as a pioneer/ old west collection.
