Framed oil on board painting in the style of Gerrit Dou (1613-1675). Depicting a priest kneeling before a red damask draped alter illuminated by the glow of two candles. This was a popular subject matter as evidenced by Jan Leven's "Zacharias". Label fragment affixed verso.
Dimensions: sight: 8”h x 6”w; frame: 16.5”h x 14.5”w.
