Mementos from the Career of Charles M. Irelan who was appointed United States Attorney for the District of Columbia by President Harry S. Truman in 1951. Included in this lot are letters and correspondences received from individuals including J. Edgar Hoover who congratulated Mr. Irelan upon his nomination. Also included are letters to Mrs. Irelan after her husband died in 1958 including one from J Edgar Hoover.
