Premier straw boater hat made by Knox Fifth Ave Premier with silk satin lining and leather sweatband, accented by a black grosgain band with bow - sold by "Furman Beverly Hills/ Chicago." Recovered from shootout in Wisconsin that killed CCC workers and an FBI agent. Circa: 1920s - 1930s Provenance: Owner's statement - "My father, Albert Love, bought...the guns, hat, and bulletproof vest from Emil Wanatkas in late 1942. Emil had a gangster museum next to the lodge." Dimensions: Interior - 7-7/8 x 6-1/16 inches, Overall - 13-5/8 x 11-3/4 x 3-5/8 inches, Band 2 inches S/H: $30
