John Dillinger Gang Hat Recovered from Shootout

Premier straw boater hat made by Knox Fifth Ave Premier with silk satin lining and leather sweatband, accented by a black grosgain band with bow - sold by "Furman Beverly Hills/ Chicago." Recovered from shootout in Wisconsin that killed CCC workers and an FBI agent. Circa: 1920s - 1930s Provenance: Owner's statement - "My father, Albert Love, bought...the guns, hat, and bulletproof vest from Emil Wanatkas in late 1942.
