Georgian Miniature Bracket Clock by Watson & Son
Georgian miniature bracket clock in mahogany wood with a pagoda style top and dentil moulded base standing on four padded feet. Silver colored dial features Roman numerals and original blue steel hands. Face signed "Watson & Son, Cambridge." The clock runs on an eight day Fusee movement with anchor escapement and a pendulum hold fast, made in 1830. Watchmaker Joseph Watson worked in Market Hill Cambridge from 1830-1840 and was also a jeweler and silversmith. Winding key and movement runs.
Dimensions: 10 1/2" h; (base) 6 3/4" x 4 3/4".
