General Anthony McAuliffe 2 Hollywood photos and Lobby Card for “Battleground.”

An autographed photo (8x10) of General McAuliffe, his wife, Helen, and their daughter Patricia with Hollywood star Robert Young of “Father Knows Best,” with a note and Young’s autograph, along with Director Compton Bennett and his autograph. Bennett was then directing “The Forsyte Woman” starring Robert Young.  Young’s inscription reads, “To Gen. & Mrs. McAuliffe& Patricia, I am so proud to have had the privilege of meeting you. Sincerely, Robert Young. Bennet’s inscription reads, “With every good wish to General & Mrs. Anthony C. McAuliffe & Patricia Ann, Respectfully & Gratefully, Compton Bennett.” (8x10) A Photo of two members of the 101st Airborne presenting a plaque from the 101st Airborne Association to Louis B. Mayer, head of MGM in gratitude for the making of their story at Bastogne in the movie “Battleground.”(8x10) Also an original lobby card for the movie “Battleground,” which told the story of the siege of Bastogne, and depicted the German commander receiving McAuliffe’s famous reply, “Nuts.” (11 x 14).
