General Anthony McAuliffe 1946 Atomic Bomb Task Force signed Identification card, and related items

Rare signed and thumb-printed formal identification card of General McAuliffe as a staff officer on Joint Task Force One, the first Bikini Atoll nuclear test in 1946. It has a small photo of General McAuliffe along with his signature and thumb print, and is counter-signed by Vice Admiral W.H.P. Blandy who commanded both of the first two Bikini Atoll nuclear tests. The identification is in a very handsome gold stamped leather folder with a spread-winged eagle on the leatherette cover. Also, two photos of the actual atomic explosion, both with marginalia by General McAuliffe. Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe.
