Frank Kettlewell (1889-1969) Original Christmas Art for the Oakland Tribune

Original pen and ink art by Frank Kettlewell, who worked for the Oakland Tribune from 1912 to 1966, eventually becoming art Director. Famous for his World War II era political cartoons. Seen here in this original art is a Christmas themed depiction of an American applying Christmas stamps to aid the fight against tuberculosis. Signed in ink with a caricature of a bird bottom right.
