Four Interesting Large WWII Era Theater Style Knives

Four larger bowie type knives, all with stacked grips, probably made for solder or sailor's use in WWII theaters of War. An identified theater knife from WWII, made by W.W. Zellers, a worker at a Bendix factory, and given to the consignor's family by the maker, with a "buccaneer" style blade with strongly clipped point, stacked grip with alternating layers of polished aluminum, wood, brass, and a black material. The guard and pommel are brightly polished aluminum. The sheath is plain brown leather with brass grommets holding it together, and has a paper tag attached identifying the source. Size: 15 1/2 inches long overall, with a 10 1/2 inch blade. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping. Massive Theater style knife with stacked leather grip, heavy brass pommel and guard, and large blade possibly made from a machete blade, with a saw-toothed back, a single fuller, and a milled notch in the back of the blade. There are faint markings near the point readable as "U.S.A. 1." The knife is quite well made and extremely sharp. It has been put in a modern plain black leather sheath, but the knife clearly dates to the WWII era. Size: 15 3/4 inches overall, with a 10 inch blade.
